This is pretty cool. This week Virgin Mobile released a MiFi device that works as a virtual hotspot for internet connectivity over a 3G network. Similar devices have been offered by Verizon and Sprint in the past, but this new offering from Virgin Mobile has quite a few important differences. 1) It offers an unlimited data plan – these plans have gone the way of the dodo in recent years, so it’s refreshing to see the unlimited plan make a comeback. 2) It requires no contract and can be used purely on a monthly basis – if you travel a lot in the Summer and stay at home the rest of the year, no worries, simply activate as needed. and 3) It’s only $40 a month… 40 DOLLARS A MONTH!!!
Just like flat rate unlimited IT support… It doesn’t get any better than that!
